A history of quality, since 1957

The 100% Italian trademark for top quality home and garden furniture: a reputation it has built up over the years and the result of great attention paid to design and products, with extensive know-how of materials and an on-going process of refining its machining processes and search for new technologies. A pioneer in the treatment of thermoplastic materials, SCAB was already exploring functional features and expressive potentials as far back as the Seventies. A symbol of this initiative is “Patty”, the folding chair in ABS, the founder of a series of products that would redefine the aesthetic standards of the time. After 50 years of success, in 2010 SCAB has once more increased its “Design” range, the innovative collection in polymer and thermoplastic materials. A complete range of seats, tables, stools, both for the private home and the public establishment: practical, comfortable, strong, contemporary.

A brand on the cutting edge. SCAB DESIGN: novelties 2014

Design, glamour, functionality and comfort are the distinguishing features of the new products 2014 by SCAB DESIGN. The elegant and minimalist design reveals an in-depth culture of design and constant attention to the new trends which are increasingly oriented towards the association of pleasure and comfort. The new SCAB DESIGN collections are the result of experimentation combined with the ability to intercept the latest trends.

Design & technology

Lead by the creative mind of architect Luisa Battaglia, an international team of researchers and designers has been extremely successful in understanding the real needs of the customers, going beyond the current trends, and always offering the best in terms of quality, at the most competitive prices. The items included in the Design range are all original SCAB models. They have been designed and produced in collaboration with the CATAS testing laboratory. They are protected by shape patents, exclusive rights and undergo the most stringent quality control procedures. Full recognition for quality has been given to SCAB by Bayer, by granting us a licence to use the Makrolon trademark on all products produced by us in polycarbonate. This is one further guarantee of the uniqueness and reliability of the SCAB range. SCAB DESIGN products are signed by architect Luisa Battaglia, Roberto Semprini, Arter&Citton and the Centro Stile SCAB.
